Title: Overview of Research Experiences and the XAI Framework for the Non-Communicable Disease Application

Abstract: The major risk factors for non-communicable diseases are related to unhealthy lifestyle habits such as smoking, excessive drinking, unhealthy eating habits, lack of physical activity, and prolonged stress. Therefore, in the existing system, a case in which a doctor examines a patient and explains his/her health condition to the patient is compared with a case in which a doctor explains his/her health condition to a patient in the XAI Framework studied in our study.
Prior to this explanation, this keynote speech explains the research methods we have studied, namely databases and data mining, as well as research results from bioinformatics to deep learning. Then, it describes the epigenetics and NCD governed by the environment and proposes an explainable AI framework for NCD based on the research conducted so far. In this proposal, the design process of the XAI Framework and the evaluation of the XAI Framework are explained. Finally, in this XAI framework, we conclude this talk by presenting an example of a study in which a doctor examines a patient and then explains his/her health condition to the patient. (This keynote is based on the DB laboratory research works and Suri’s Ph D thesis.)
