International participants traveling to South Korea may need either a visa or a K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization), depending on nationality and travel purpose. Please check the latest requirements before booking flights.
Important: If you are eligible to enter Korea without a visa, you may still need
K-ETA approval before boarding. K-ETA assessment is generally processed within 72 hours.
K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization)
- K-ETA is required for many visa-free visitors prior to boarding a flight/ship to Korea.
- Fee: KRW 10,000 (about USD 7–8, may vary by exchange rate).
- Apply only on the official K-ETA website or the official mobile app (beware of unofficial agency/phishing sites).
